Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Sideline Page (“Sideline,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), operated by Sideline Page, an Alberta-registered company. By creating an account or using the service, you (“you,” “Athlete,” or “User”) agree to these Terms.

If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must review and agree to these Terms on your behalf.

1. Nature of Services

Sideline provides tools that help student-athletes create a professional, shareable recruiting profile so coaches and programs can evaluate them more easily.

Core services include:

• Creation and hosting of a public recruiting landing page (“Sideline Page”)
• Tools to upload photos, highlight videos, stats, academics, and other profile information
• Shareable profile links
• Optional sections for brand/NIL presentation
• Access to educational resources and templates
• Optional connection to a third-party merchandise vendor

Sideline is a technology and media platform. We are not a sports agent, talent agency, legal representative, or financial advisor. We do not negotiate contracts, guarantee recruiting outcomes, or guarantee any NIL or merchandise earnings.

2. Recruiting Profiles & Public Pages

You may create a Sideline Page to showcase your athletic and academic information.

• You control the content on your page and decide when it is published or unpublished.
• Once published, your page is available at a unique public URL and via a shareable link. You are responsible for who you share that link with.
• Sideline may display published pages and may feature selected pages in its own marketing.
• You can edit, reorder, hide, or unpublish sections at any time.
• Parent or guardian contact information is never displayed on the public page.
• If your account is terminated or remains inactive for an extended period, Sideline may unpublish or remove the page.
• Sideline is not responsible for how coaches, schools, or other third parties use information you choose to make public.

3. Accounts & Membership

Some features require an account. Free and paid options may be available.

• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.
• You must provide accurate information.
• For users under 18, a parent or guardian must approve the account and retains control over publication and visibility settings.
• Sideline may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Privacy & Data

Sideline collects information you provide to build and display your recruiting profile.

• You choose which information appears publicly. Private fields are not shown on your Sideline Page.
• Contact form submissions are routed to the email address you designate. Sideline does not monitor or respond to these messages.
• For users under 18, a parent or guardian controls profile visibility and may hide or remove any section.
• Sideline may use aggregated or anonymized data to improve the service.
• You may request deletion of your account and personal data by contacting support. Note that third parties may retain cached copies of previously published content.
• We use reasonable security measures but cannot guarantee absolute security of data transmitted over the internet.

5. Content Ownership & License

You retain ownership of the photos, videos, text, and other content you upload.

By uploading content and publishing a Sideline Page, you grant Sideline a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, reproduce, and distribute that content for the purpose of operating the service and promoting your profile (including in Sideline’s marketing materials).

You may remove content at any time. The license ends when the content is deleted or your account is closed, except for copies already distributed or cached by third parties.

Sideline may decline to publish content that does not meet reasonable quality or appropriateness standards.

6. Club Referrals & Subdomains

If you sign up through a club subdomain (for example, clubname.sideline.page) or a referral link, your account will be attributed to that club for Sideline’s internal tracking.

• The club does not receive access to your private account information or control over your profile.
• Your public profile remains on Sideline’s main domain regardless of signup source.
• If a club partnership ends, the subdomain may redirect to the main Sideline website. Existing athlete profiles are not affected.

7. Optional NIL Features

Sideline may offer optional tools that allow you to present brand-related information or organize potential opportunities.

• These features are provided for visibility and organizational purposes only.
• Sideline does not source, negotiate, guarantee, or manage NIL deals or brand partnerships.
• Any NIL-related section appears on your public page only if you (and your parent or guardian, if under 18) enable it.
• You are solely responsible for compliance with all applicable high school, state, NCAA, school, or institutional rules.
• Sideline is not liable for eligibility issues or rule violations related to NIL activity.

8. Third-Party Merchandise

Sideline may partner with a third-party vendor to offer custom merchandise.

• All sales, production, fulfillment, payments, and customer service for merchandise are handled by the third-party vendor under their own terms.
• Sideline is not a party to merchandise transactions and is not responsible for product quality, shipping, refunds, or payment issues.
• Participation is optional.
• Any revenue-share or payout details will be disclosed separately at the time of setup.

9. High School & Minor Athletes

• Accounts for athletes under 18 require parent or guardian consent and ongoing oversight.
• Parents or guardians may control publication status and hide or remove any section of the profile at any time.
• High school athletes are responsible for confirming that their use of Sideline and any related activities comply with their state athletic association and school rules.
• Sideline does not provide eligibility or legal advice.

10. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Provide false or misleading information on your profile
• Upload content you do not have rights to
• Use the service in a way that violates applicable laws or athletic association rules
• Interfere with the operation of the service

Sideline may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these Terms.

11. Disclaimers

Sideline provides tools and hosting only. We do not guarantee:

• Recruiting interest or offers
• NIL opportunities or earnings
• Merchandise sales
• That any profile will be viewed by coaches

Success depends on many factors outside our control, including athletic performance, academics, and third-party decisions.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sideline is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid Sideline in the twelve months preceding the claim (or $100 if you have not paid anything).

13. Termination

You may close your account at any time. Sideline may suspend or terminate accounts for violation of these Terms or for prolonged inactivity. Upon termination, your public page may be unpublished.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
