Sideline Page

Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 15, 2026

Sideline Page (“Sideline,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is an Alberta-registered company. This policy explains how we handle personal information when athletes, parents, guardians, coaches, and other visitors use Sideline at sideline.page.

1. Information we collect

  • Account information, including your email address, sign-in details, and the information you provide about your role and birth year.
  • Athlete profile information you choose to enter, such as name, sport, position, team, school, academics, statistics, biography, photos, video links, and social links.
  • Parent or guardian email addresses and approval records when a minor creates a page.
  • Messages submitted through contact forms, including the sender’s name, contact details, and message; coach endorsement submissions and your approval choices.
  • Saved school shortlists, coach contacts, page settings, and subscription or payment status when you use those features.
  • Page visits, visits through coach-specific links, and technical information used to keep the service working and investigate errors.

2. How we use information

We use this information to create and host your athlete’s page, secure your account, save your choices, process parent approvals, provide messages and endorsements, manage access to features, and maintain and improve the service. We may also use aggregated or anonymized information to understand service usage.

3. Public profiles and private information

New pages start private. A private page is available only to its signed-in owner. When you publish a page, anyone with its public link can view the profile information you choose to display. A coach-specific link is a public link with visit tracking, not a private access code.

Account email addresses and dedicated athlete or parent phone and email fields are not displayed on public profiles. We also apply contact-information filtering to profile text. Filtering is not a substitute for checking your page: avoid putting private details in photos, videos, custom links, or other uploaded content.

You can edit, hide, or remove profile content and switch the page back to private. Search-engine listing is off by default. Eligible paid pages may enable it for a public page. Even when listing is off, a public page is not confidential: recipients can share, download, or capture it, and search engines or other third parties may retain copies after it is unpublished.

4. Children, parents, and guardians

Self-signup is not available to children under 13. A parent or guardian should create and manage a page for a younger athlete. Age checks rely on the birth year provided; they do not independently verify identity or age.

Pages identified as belonging to athletes under 18 stay private until a parent or guardian approves using a link sent to their email address. This approval process does not create a separate parent account or give a parent a separate management dashboard. Parents and guardians should oversee what their athlete shares and contact us if they need help removing a minor’s information.

Coach messages are available privately to the page owner. Parent approval does not currently mean the parent automatically receives copies of those messages.

5. Photos, videos, and messages

Uploaded photos are resized and processed to remove embedded camera and location metadata before they are stored privately. Access uses time-limited photo links for the owner and published pages. Visible details within a photo, such as a school sign or jersey name, are not removed.

Embedded videos and external links may load services such as YouTube or social platforms. Those services may collect information under their own privacy policies when you view or follow the content.

Contact forms keep the page owner’s email address hidden from visitors. Submissions are stored privately so the owner can read them. If you reply from your own email account, the recipient will see that address. Coach endorsements appear on the athlete’s page only after owner approval; this is not independent verification of the coach’s identity.

6. Jock AI

When you use Jock AI to interpret an answer or draft profile text, the answer and relevant profile information are sent through our AI connection to an AI provider. The current integration uses OpenAI chat models served through Lovable’s AI gateway; those models are configured for zero data retention by the provider. Only use information you are comfortable submitting for that purpose, and review generated text before publishing it.

AI providers process submitted information under their applicable terms and data-handling policies. AI suggestions may be inaccurate; they do not verify your achievements or replace recruiting, legal, or eligibility advice.

Ask Jock conversations and family-confirmed recruiting notes are saved privately for each athlete in your account, not published on the athlete’s page or sent to coaches. Relevant profile details, confirmed notes, recent conversation and that athlete’s recorded outreach may be included in an advisor request. Live advisor replies are generated by the AI service described above.

Use “What Jock remembers” to review, correct or forget notes, stop using long-term memory, or delete the conversation and its notes. Turning memory off does not delete the saved transcript. Forgetting or correcting a note stops earlier messages being used for future advice, while keeping them readable. Contact and sensitive health details are excluded from remembered notes and minimized in advisor context; avoid sharing them in chat. Athlete and account deletion also removes the athlete’s advisor conversation and notes from the active service.

7. Connecting your Gmail

Connecting Gmail is optional. If you choose to connect it, Google asks you to authorize access to your account’s email identity and permission to send messages. Sideline uses the Lovable connector gateway to handle that connection and stores an encrypted connection credential on the server.

Sideline uses this connection only to identify the connected sending account and send the messages you review and explicitly choose to send. This integration does not request permission to read your Gmail inbox, and it does not send messages automatically. Recipients see your Gmail address, and replies go to your Gmail inbox.

You can disconnect Gmail within Sideline or revoke its access in your Google Account. Disconnecting does not delete emails already sent or copies held by recipients or Google.

Google user data is not used for advertising or AI training. Sideline’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

8. Service providers and disclosures

We use Lovable Cloud for account services, database and private file storage; Lovable for AI and email-connection services and technical error reporting; Google for optional Gmail sending; and the AI provider described above for Jock AI. Coach-search features may use Firecrawl to find information on public school websites. These providers process information needed to deliver their services and may process it outside your province or country.

If you purchase a paid plan, a payment provider handles payment details under its own privacy policy. Sideline uses payment status to manage your plan. External merchandise or other third-party services, where offered, have their own terms and privacy policies.

We may disclose information when necessary to comply with law, respond to valid legal requests, protect people or the service, or carry out a business transfer subject to applicable privacy obligations.

9. Cookies, browser storage, and visit tracking

Sideline uses browser storage and sign-in session information to keep you signed in and remember editing choices, such as your last-opened athlete page. Development previews may keep a draft locally in the browser. Public page visits and coach-link visits are recorded to provide page activity to the owner. A coach-specific link indicates which link was used; it does not prove who actually viewed it.

10. Retention and deletion

We keep account and profile information while your account is active and as needed to provide the service. You can remove individual content or use Delete account on the dashboard to permanently remove your account, athlete pages, uploaded photos, stored messages, endorsements, and page activity from the active service. There is no recovery period for account deletion.

Deletion from the active service does not recall published copies, emails, screenshots, search-engine caches, or information independently retained by other services. Provider backups, security records, and records required by law may be retained under the relevant provider’s retention practices or applicable legal obligations.

11. Your choices and security

You can review and correct your profile, control publication and search listing, remove content, disconnect Gmail, and delete your account. Contact us to request access to or correction of personal information, raise a privacy concern, or ask for help with a child’s information. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

We use access controls, private photo storage, time-limited photo links, and encrypted email-connection credentials to protect information. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.

12. Changes and contact

We may update this policy as the service changes. The date at the top identifies the latest version.
